The performer displays 6 identical looking toy dart guns, the type found in almost any toy store. One of the guns is loaded with a rubber dart, the slide is racked and the trigger pulled. Nothing happens. The performer explains that this gun has been rendered inactive by removing a spring from its inside.
The next 4 guns are likewise shown to be completely inactive - they will not fire the dart. The 6th and final gun has a red ribbon tied around it to differentiate it from all the others. This final gun is loaded, racked and the trigger pulled. This time the dart shoots out of the gun.
The performer removes the red ribbon from around the only working gun and then places all 6 guns on a round spinner sitting on the table. The spinner is spun. It spins fast enough so that neither the audience nor the performer can identify which was the only gun that shoots.
As the spinner comes to a halt, five volunteers from the audience are called forward to participate. Each one gets an absolutely free choice of which gun they will use. The performer is forced to take the last gun remaining on the spinner - the only one not chosen by any of the volunteers. Each gun is loaded with a rubber dart. The volunteers all line up, rack the slides on their guns, aim at the performer, and pull their triggers. All five will "click" but none of their darts shoot from their guns. The performer takes his gun, aims it at the target, pulls his trigger, the gun fires and the dart flies out of his gun and sticks to the picture of the target.
Remember, this is a Hocus Pocus Exclusive, which means you'll only find it here, and nowhere else.
